Internet Cancellation Policy

Service cancellations require planning and coordination, so we ask that you please contact us at least a week prior to your departure to make arrangements.

The following are the necessary steps in canceling service whether you wish to move, transfer or terminate service.

Move service to a new address:
A service move will require a new installation in most cases. The cost of the installation is discounted for existing customers. 
1. Confirm the date of cancellation for your existing service 
2. Remit payment for any unpaid balance
3. Submit a site survey of the new address to determine feasibility for internet service
4. Provide permission to un-install the existing service equipment from outside the home -or- see our transfer process if new tenants want to retain service
5. Sign a new internet service application
6. Schedule service installation for the new location

Terminate to uninstall service:
1. Confirm the date of cancellation for your existing service 
2. Remit payment for existing service through the cancellation date
3. Provide permission to un-install the existing service equipment from outside the home
4. Return internal equipment to our Bodo office dropbox (Demarc and PoE, pictured below)

Transfer service to a new occupant/owner:
Transferring internet service(s) to another occupant/owner requires that the new occupant/owner complete a service application and provide a $50 deposit. 
Existing customer
1. Confirm the date of cancellation for your existing service
2. Remit payment for any unpaid balance  
3. Return internal equipment to our Bodo office dropbox (Demarc and PoE, pictured below)
New occupant/owner
4. Set up a new account
5. Sign internet service application
6. Pay a $50 deposit (to be applied to service fees when the transfer is complete)
Responsibility for AlignTec’s equipment remains with the existing customer until a new occupant/owner has completed steps 4 through 6.

Most radios, antenna, mounting hardware, router(s) adapter(s), and power cord(s) are the property of AlignTec. The full retail value of AlignTec equipment will be charged to the customer's account at the point of service termination if arrangements have not been made with AlignTec to transfer or uninstall the equipment.

Antenna - from $50 to $500
PoE "Power over Ethernet" (antenna power supply) - $15
Wireless router/demarc - $20 to $55
Mounting hardware;
            Standard - $25
            Non-penetrating - $125
